All utility work has been completed. The contractor is currently finishing the concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk work.

Project Description

The Colorado Street roadway and sidewalk infrastructure, between S. Carson Street and Saliman Road, is in poor condition. The Carson City Regional Transportation Commission, and Carson City Redevelopment Authority, in cooperation with the Nevada Department of Transportation and Governor’s Office of Economic Development, has allocated funding to make improvements to this street. Project improvements include pavement reconstruction, construction of new sidewalks, enhanced pedestrian crossings, waterline replacement, striping of a buffered bike lane, and other upgrades to roadway and utility infrastructure.

Project Outreach

January 2023: Postcards were mailed to residents adjacent to Colorado Street project limits

June 2021: Carson City Public Works completed a second survey to collect comments on corridor improvements being considered. The results of this survey and initial 30% project design concepts were presented to the RTC in June 2021.
